Ozone Therapy
CASES
Eyes: corneal ulcer and uveitis
This 20 year old warmblood gelding was in and out of the hospital for over one year due to non-healing corneal ulcer fueled by leptosporosis induced uveitis. With muscle testing, custom-tailored nutrition, acupuncture, antibiotics, immune support and multiple forms of administration of ozone (intravenous, ocularly and rectally), this horse has been able to avoid going back to the hospital and the eye issue, as well as many other issues, are resolving.
Difficult and non-healing wounds
This 28 year old warmblood gelding got an open wound on his left hip bone-- an area that is not able to be sutured. He had low body weight, fat and muscling. Every time he would lay down, he would hit this hip bone and tear the skin open over and over. He was at risk for a bone infection. Antibiotics, Ozone, PRF Fibrin clots and keeping it covered religiously with makeshift bandaging were used to heal and seal this wound up very nicely.
Hoof infections, abscesses, laminitis etc.
Because ozone is a gas, it can penetrate all tissues easily even the hard to reach places. It helps the body release nitric oxide, increase vasodilation, relieves pain and kills bacteria, fungus and viruses. All of these are important with cases such as abscesses, white line, laminitis, hoof wall resections and the like.
